The Vision of Life Radio Ministries is to use Christian radio to share the Light and Life of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, both in the United States and Internationally. The ministry was founded in 1993 by Joe and Jenny Emert.

Joe Emert has been actively involved in Christian broadcasting for over 45 years. At the age of 18 he started working in Christian radio at a radio station in Pennsylvania owned by his father, Rev. William Emert. During those years, as his father made over 30 short-term mission trips and built a radio station in Haiti, Joe caught the vision for using radio in international missionary work. He worked his way through college in the broadcasting division of his school and has remained in Christian radio ministry full-time. He has worked as Announcer, News Director, Program Director and has served as General Manager of four Christian radio stations including WTLR-FM in State College, PA; WAKW-FM in Cincinnati, OH, the Moody Broadcasting station (Moody Bible Institute) in Atlanta, WAFS (AM 920), and WMVV-FM (
NewLife FM) near Atlanta, GA.
Just before he and his wife, Jenny, founded Life Radio Ministries in 1993 (WMVV) he helped establish the Atlanta-based national daily radio program of Dr. Michael Youssef, "Leading The Way," where Joe served as Executive Director. He now serves full-time as President of Life Radio Ministries. Joe also served for over 10 years as a founding member of the board of directors of the Papua New Guinea Christian Broadcasting Network and has assisted in the construction of 15 FM stations and a Shortwave station in that country. Joe and Jenny were married in 1972 and have four married sons, and 12 grandchildren!
