Joe Emert has been actively involved in Christian broadcasting for nearly 45 years. At the age of 18 he started working in Christian radio at a radio station in Pennsylvania owned and operated by his father. He worked his way through college in the broadcasting division of his school and has remained in Christian radio ministry full-time. He has worked as Janitor, Announcer, News Director, Program Director, Director of Development, and later served as General Manager of three Christian radio stations…. WTLR State College, PA; WAKW Cincinnati, OH; and the Moody Broadcasting Network station in Atlanta, WAFS. In 1993, Just before he and his wife Jenny founded Life Radio Ministries, Inc. (WMVV) he helped establish the Atlanta-based national daily radio program of Dr. Michael Youssef, "Leading The Way," where Joe served as Executive Director. Since 1997 He has served full-time as President of Life Radio Ministries, and continues to enjoy regular "on air" interaction with listeners on “Sunday Morning Praise”. Joe is also a co-founder of the Papua New Guinea Christian Broadcasting Network and has assisted in the construction of 12 FM stations and a Shortwave station in that South Pacific country. That ministry has now grown to over 25 FM stations! Joe and Jenny celebrate over 43 years of marriage. They have four sons, four Daughters-in-Law, and twelve grandchildren.

Jenny Emert has acquired over 40 years of radio related experience as the wife of a "radio man", and as co-founder of Life Radio Ministries, Inc. Dedication to her family as a wife, mother of four sons, and now Mother-in-Law and Grandmother has dominated her calling. Many young mothers look to Jenny as a quiet model of a Christian wife and mother. Her additional experience as a secretary to a college President and Assistant College Dean of Women, along with organizing a busy household have helped equip Jenny as she provides daily assistance in the NewLife FM business office. Jenny and Joe enjoy any time they can have with their 12 grandchildren!

Doug graduated from Georgia State University in 1975 with a B.S. degree in Education. While in College, he began to work in the broadcasting industry and maintained that interest throughout the years. His extensive work experience with Delta Air Lines and Walk Thru The Bible Ministries, in addition to his volunteer work at First Baptist Church of Atlanta, In Touch Ministries with Dr. Charles Stanley and the Atlanta Passion Play have prepared him well for his responsibilities in the areas of Christian media. Doug began working as a volunteer with NewLife FM in 1996 and shortly thereafter was asked to serve as a member of the board of directors and as Chairman. He joined the full time staff in 2000 as Director of Development, then advanced to General Manager and Vice-President in 2003. Doug looks for any "excuse" to fly his airplane and has logged many hours in the air as a certified skydiver, with nearly 1,000 skydives! Doug and his wife Susan have been married over 30 years and have one son, Gregory. They make their home in Barnesville, GA, where one of Doug’s old trucks won the "ugliest truck of the year" award two years in a row! That truck is now in a restoration process and Gregory drives it. Gregory is a member of the US Army, serving as a Chaplain’s Assistant.

Jim joined the NewLife FM staff in March 1997 and has been a source of joy and encouragement to our listeners. Since 1986, Jim has been dedicated to Christian radio. After earning a Master’s Degree in Communications and Radio from Regent University, Jim began serving as Program Director of WOLC in Princess Anne, Maryland in 1988. This station later sent Jim and his wife, Glenna, as home missionaries to Louisiana in 1992, where they put a new Christian station on the air. In addition to producing and hosting "NewLife at Night," Jim oversees a number of the stations on-air operations including the music library, computer automation system, and maintenance of two transmitter and tower sites. Jim and Glenna have been married 37 years and have two sons and a daughter, as well as four grandchildren, and make their home in Griffin.

Glenna Stewart has been married to Jim Stewart for 37 years. She has raised three children and now helps them by being deeply involved in her grandchildren’s lives. Following Jim in his calling to Christian Radio, Glenna became involved in voicing commercials and as the Mailing Coordinator at a Christian station in Maryland in 1988. She then was Administrative Assistant at a Christian radio station in Louisiana that the Lord led Jim to start in 1992. Upon coming to NewLife FM with Jim in 1997 she has been involved in nearly every Sharathon as the Hostess and Phone Coordinator. Glenna is now working as Administrative Assistant at NewLife FM and is also one of the new voices you hear on the air.

Mike has been in Christian broadcasting for nearly 30 years. He began his radio career right out of high school as a volunteer overnight announcer with WAYJ-FM in Fort Myers, FL. He graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and then spent a year working for WINK-FM as a weekend and fill-in announcer. Mike then went to Regent University where he met his future wife and graduated with two Master’s degrees in communication and management. Mike has served with Morningstar Radio Network, WJYO-FM, In Touch Ministries and most recently at WRAF-FM. He also has a love for teaching and has been a faculty member with Truett-McConnell College, Georgia Perimeter College and Toccoa Falls College. Mike joined the NewLife FM staff in 2016 as Executive Assistant to the President. He is married to Kathy and they have two great kids, Jon-Michael and Kaity.

Ginger joined NewLife FM in January of 2014. She is a retired manager of 32 years with AT&T and now loves working in the front office at NewLife FM greeting listeners. Ginger is involved in the sharathons, events, and volunteer work that helps NewLife FM reach beyond the radio. She has one daughter and 3 grandchildren that she enjoys being actively involved with as much as possible. For over ten years Ginger was the primary care giver for her husband and mother. During those years NewLife FM shared in her prayers and now she wants to give that love back.

Don Hughes has been involved in broadcasting since 1969 when he worked in secular broadcasting. After coming to Christ in 1973, he went to work for Columbia Bible College in South Carolina and played a key role in putting WMHK in Columbia on the air in 1976. He then moved to Pennsylvania in 1988 to help a friend start a Christian station and then moved to Kansas in 1991 where he put ten full power stations and over forty translators on the air for Great Plains Christian Radio. Those stations covered portions of Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado. Don joined NewLife FM in 2015 and he also currently works for the Pregnancy Care Center in Jonesboro, GA.

Don has been greatly involved with the promotion of over two hundred Christian events and concerts over a forty-year period. He teaches Sunday School and does pulpit supply for pastors while they are away and fills in for churches that are between pastors.

Don and his wife Polly have been married for over 37-years and they have six children and six grandchildren. Don’s wife serves as the receptionist at Jonesboro First Baptist Church. Don has a burden concerning the lack of Bible literacy and is currently writing a book with his son Gabriel who pastors First Baptist Church of Junction City, KS. The book is titled “Forty Weeks through the Bible” and will provide Bible reading and daily devotionals over a forty week period.

David and Damaris have brought "New Life" to our southern gospel music program, “Southern Majesty”, heard Saturday evenings from 8:00 to 10:00 PM. David and Damaris have been singing together for over 25 years. David sang for a few years with Phil Cross & Poet Voices and with The Greens. Damaris is a writer and brings a rich blend of southern spiritual insights to our radio family, and David’s smooth bass voice is music to all of us!
